Father's Day Weekend

We enjoyed a fun Father's Day weekend with some close friends at William and Marilyn's lake house on Lake Martin. The kids had a great time playing in the water and being out on the boat. We had a delicious fish fry Saturday night and all the ladies cooked a big breakfast for the dad's on Sunday morning. It was a great weekend and we really enjoyed spending some quality time with our close friends.

Seagrove Beach Trip

I love the beaches of the South Walton area and was so excited to vacation there this year with Eric and Nolan for the first time and our good friends from college. We had the best week and really enjoyed some quality family time. We took a million photos but here are a few of my favorites:

4 year Anniversary!!

4 years ago yesterday, Eric and I said "I do", and these last few years have been the best years of my life. I am married to the most incredible man and I feel so blessed everyday to wake-up next to him and to share my life with someone so special. We have such a deep love for each other and are truly soul mates. He is the best father to Nolan and I look forward to our years ahead and more babies to come!

We enjoyed a nice date night out...which are very rare these days with Nolan! Here's a few pics:

Nolan and his friend Beau got ready for a swim in the pool on Wednesday. They had so much fun!

10 months old

Nolan is 10 months old today and is such a busy boy. He's been army crawling for a while now, but just recently has really picked up speed. He's been pulling up, standing for short periods of time while holding on to something and is starting to say more words. We practice flash cards daily and he's learning to moo like a cow, roar like a lion, and say ball, duck, hi, hey, bye-bye, and ma-ma a lot more. He's so full of energy and curious about EVERYTHING. He's learned the word no as he often gets into things he's not suppose to. He's soooo much fun right now. Eric and I played chase with him around the living room last night and he'd take turns quickly crawling to one of us. It was awesome! Here's a few pics and a little video of what he's doing now:

Nolan's new outdoor pool

Nonna sent Nolan a surprise in the mail today... an adorable outside baby pool. He was so excited with anticipation as I was blowing the pool up wondering what is this thing?? Nolan had so much fun splashing in the water and playing with the float toys that came with it. He even rolled onto his belly and was kicking like he wanted to swim. It was so sweet watching how happy this new edition to our backyard made him :)

Morgan Creek Winery

Last night we enjoyed a relaxing family evening at a local winery in Harpersville called Morgan Creek. Eric and I enjoyed a little wine tasting and BBQ sandwiches on the front lawn of the winery where we had a family picnic and listened to a live band. It was so much fun and Nolan just crawled around on our quilted blanket watching other children and playing with Eric and I. It was such a perfect evening with my 2 favorite boys :)

Our last day in Austin

This morning we enjoyed a nice hilly walk around the community that Lindsey lives in. It's so pretty and some of the views of Lake Travis she lives on are breath-taking. The weather however reached the 90's by 10am, so needless to say...it was a very hot day. We enjoyed a really nice outside lunch at the Oasis which is right on the lake and I totally felt like I was in St. Thomas. It was so beautiful!

This afternoon the boys played at the pool and we had dinner at Pei Wei's which is owned by PF. Changs and has just about the same food. I loved it b/c it was fast, kid friendly, and you order your food up front so you don't have to wait long. It was great! Then we went next door to a yummy ice cream shop and I had this birthday cake gelato that was out of the world! Nolan helped me eat it :)

Austin Trip

Nolan and I are currently in Austin visiting some friends that moved here from Birmingham - The Mills. We are having so much fun and enjoying the really hot weather. I took a day trip to San Antonio with a friend of mine who is a nurse here to visit my very best friend - Erin and her twin girls. The pool pics below were taken at the Country Club there and it was Nolan's first time to be in a pool. He loved it! We're going to have some more water fun tomorrow with Lindsey & Parker before we go home on Saturday.

9 months old

Nolan was 9 months old on Friday and I'm just getting around to posting a pic. We were in Louisiana on Friday and Saturday visiting family while Eric went on a red fishing trip with his mom and step-dad. Eric and I also enjoyed a fun date night on Saturday in Hattiesburg with some friends from college. It was so nice!

At his check-up today he weighed 24 pounds and was 30 inches long. He dropped from the 99th percentile to the 90th in everything. I was surprised.

Nolan and I leave tomorrow for Austin to visit some friends and it will be his first time to fly. I hope he does well, especially since it's just the two of us since Eric is working. I'll have lots of pics to post when we get back.
