Nolan will be 6 months old on Saturday and goes for his check-up on Monday. I'm so curious to see how long he is and how much he weighs. He's such a big boy...but oh so snuggly! We're having a pretty busy week with new small groups. We started Baby Praise on Monday's at church and Nolan loved all the singing and being around all the little ones. He's very social :) We're going to a stroller group tomorrow called Healthy Talks & Walks so it will be fun for both Mommy and Nolan. We also enjoyed a lunch at Surin today with a good friend of mine.

Let it snow!

Yesterday morning we had so much fun when we got to play outside in the snow. It was Nolan's first time to touch and experience snow as it fell upon him. We had a blast with our neighbors Jill and Cole and felt like big kids!!

Into the kitchen cabinets I go!!

Eric and I let Nolan venture into the kitchen to play with a wooden spoon and pot. He loves to bang on things so we thought it would be funny to let him play with things under the counter. He loved every moment! He's so curious about everything these days and has really started grabbing onto everything in sight just to feel the texture of it. Nolan loves bath time and I just adore his baby wrinkles!!

Such a hungry boy!

Nolan has really gotten pretty active the last few weeks. I told Eric the other day that he's such a boy - trying to tear up his exersaucer by jumping and banging on it as loud as he can! He's really a strong boy and his new favorite thing is to stand on your lap and jump. He gets such a kick out of this. Nolan has also been teething quite a bit and keeping Eric and I awake during the wee hours of the morning. He's gotten into this pattern where he falls asleep in his crib at 7pm. Wakes up around 11:30pm for another feeding, then wakes again around 3am - wide awake laughing and cooing...ready to play! After about an hour of calming him down, which usually results in nursing him back to sleep, he's awake again at 6:30am - hungry again.

Nolan has exhausted me with his growing appetite. He still nurses at least 6 times a day and is also eating a jar of fruit, 1 vegetable, and either oatmeal or rice cereal. You would think all this food would tie him over to sleep through the night, but it's not working. It's always something, either his teeth are hurting, he's gassy with pain, or he's hungry. I just have to keep a good sense of humor about it all because he's always smiling and it makes me smile no matter how tired I am.

I pray and pray over him everyday to sleep soundly at night, but he still wakes every few hours. If anyone has any advice....please share!

I love when Mommy & Daddy take me for a wagon ride!

I love playing the piano on my musical table that Nonna gave me

This is my new thing - chewing on my thumb all the time

All this playing wore me out Mommy!

5 months old today

Nolan is 5 months old today and is developing new skills daily. He's been making lots of new sounds, giggles uncontrollably and cracks himself up all the time! He's been rolling over for the past few weeks, raises both of his arms for objects and for Eric and I. He gives open mouth kisses on your cheek, is sitting up all by himself for short periods of time, and loves peek-a-boo! Nolan is an amazing eater and has liked every fruit and veggie he's been given. He's slightly allergic to applesauce...so we're putting that aside for a while. He also learned his 1st sign last week: Milk, and he will make the sign when I'm nursing him. Nolan is such a social baby, always smiling at new faces. He's teething quite a bit and brings any object in sight toward his mouth to chew on. Nolan recently cut his first tooth on the back right side of his mouth.

Happy New Year

Eric and I have so much to be thankful for this year. 2007 was the most amazing year ever, aside from 2004 - the year we got married. We were blessed in more ways than we can count and God blessed us immensely with the birth of our first son - the highlight of our year.

I have always heard people say that having a baby changes everything...and until you have one or go through being pregnant, you'll never experience the depth of what bringing a child into the world does to who you are.

For me, my usual fast paced schedule with work and social activities took the backseat and instead of always being so busy, I took more time to reflect on the good things I have in my life and focused on what is most important. Throughout 2007, I realized there is so much I'm thankful for and so many things I've decided to spend more time doing. Looking back, this is a list of some things I'm thankful for in 2007:

1. My relationship with God
2. Eric - my amazing husband
3. The birth of our son Nolan
4. Solid quality time with our families
5. My sweet girlfriends who are the best ever!
6. Church of the Highlands
7. My small groups
8. Dr. Duke
9. Picking up painting again
10. Journaling
11. Nolan's laughter
12. Lattes from Starbucks
13. Long walks & Yoga
14. Walking the beach with Eric
15. Losing all the baby weight
16. Snuggling with Nolan every morning
17. Having our neighbors over for dinner often
18. Getting randomly surprised by Eric
19. Our walks with Charlie (who I miss daily)
20. Dairy Queen Blizzard runs
21. Cup of flavored coffee in the morning
22. Crushed ice
23. Healthy first pregnancy
24. The color of autumn leaves in the hills around our home
25. The smell of Nolan's lotion
26. Eric kissing me good-bye each morning while I'm half asleep
27. Praying with Eric
28. Good books & movies
29. Big breakfasts on Saturday mornings
30. Loving on Eric and Nolan

....and there are so many more things I'm thankful for. These are just a few. Happy New Year!

Isabelle is here!

Our dear friends Lizzy & Justin welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world early yesterday morning. Isabelle Pilar Bohorfoush was born on New Year's Eve at 7:42am. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 19 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing great. We visited them in the hospital today and couldn't be more excited for the arrival of their second child. Big brother Whit can't wait for them to bring little Isabelle home!
